Our rod brands include Shimano, Daiwa, Abu, Savage Gear, Berkley, Westin, Patriot, and Sportex.
Rods are broadly categorized into two subgroups: large-ring spinning rods and small-ring baitcasting rods, with or without finger triggers. In addition to these, we also offer trolling and jerkbait rods that are suitable for any type of reel. Modern casting rods are made from various grades of carbon fiber and are lightweight and sensitive. Always consider the intended use of the rod before making a purchase.
Here are a couple of examples of distinctly different rods: For pike fishing, it’s advisable to choose a POWERFUL pike rod that can cast heavier lures. In this case, also consider the weight of your favorite lure; a rod that's too stiff paired with a light jerkbait or shad will not yield a pleasant combination.
For sea trout, we clearly recommend a longer (240 - 300 cm) and softer rod that better follows the rapid movements of the fish and allows for longer casts with lighter lures. This will naturally also depend on whether you are casting from a boat or from the shore. In the latter case, we recommend the longest option possible.
Naturally, most rods are sold as 'general rods', measuring 210 cm and with a lure recommendation of 10-30 g. With this type of rod, most forms of fishing will be successful, but the enjoyment and meaningfulness may be compromised.
