The W10 Coastal Braid is engineered for saltwater trout anglers and jig fishermen who demand the highest quality. This line combines maximum strength and abrasion resistance with an exceptionally smooth and slick surface. Made from Japanese Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene (UHMPE) fibers, it utilizes a 13X (12+1) braid structure, where 12 strands are woven around a central core. This design results in a highly round line with superior tensile strength compared to eight-strand braided lines. The W10 Coastal Braid features an "Advanced Ultra High PIC" construction, boasting 56 threads per inch to ensure a smoother surface and enhanced abrasion resistance. The denser weave of the "Advanced Ultra High PIC" also provides a slicker surface that enhances accuracy and distance in casting.

Mer trout and salty water anglers require a particularly stiff line to avoid wind knots that often occur during repeated casts in strong winds. The W10 Coastal achieves this with a double Dura-coating that adds rigidity to the line. The Dura-Coating gel process provides a smoother, hydrophobic surface to the braids, significantly reducing friction and water absorption. W10 Braid is soaked in color tanks before being cured in ovens, improving color permanence. Finally, the line is sealed with a double gel coating.
