Guideline is on a journey toward more sustainable development, and this Elevation series points the way for the future of rod manufacturing. Utilizing new eco-friendly manufacturing methods has positively impacted the rods' characteristics, allowing for unprecedented precision in shaping every element and detail, resulting in these rods being incredibly lightweight and sensitive while still being among the strongest in Guideline’s mid-priced range. A powerful butt, a firm tip, and a steadily bending middle section ensure that casting is responsive while still providing strength when needed. The Elevation rods are easy to cast, lightweight, and simultaneously high-performing, making them suitable for both beginners and seasoned fly anglers.

The Elevation rods feature lightly sanded blanks with a soft spiral pattern that is free of added color, giving them a sleek dark graphite appearance. In the production of these rods, any carbon fiber waste mixed with water is collected in tanks to avoid discharging untreated water. The full wells handles made of 3A cork do not include rubber ends, which helps keep the epoxy content minimal. Lighter rods have a small cork butt at the end of the blank, while rods sized #7 and above utilize a full-sized fighting butt. The metal parts of the reel seat are bright anodized, the least toxic anodizing method when utilizing aluminum reel seats. No chromium or paints are used in the anodization process. The coatings of the blanks and the fittings of the guides and handles are made with bio-based, less toxic epoxy, making them more eco-friendly for both nature and rod builders within factories. The rods showcase single-foot guides and KW-style stripper guides. The guides are coated with a hard finish that contains no chromium. The rod bags and tubes are made from recycled REPREVE™ polyester. The rod tubes are made from recycled polypropylene, making them lightweight and 20% thinner than traditional rod tubes, thus reducing shipping costs and emissions.
