Vision Ace T-Tip 10ft, Skagit Tip. Vision Ace Tip represents the so-called Skagit tips. Skagit refers to a type of line developed in the United States, specifically designed to facilitate casting heavy flies in tight spaces. Skagit tips are heavier and shorter than standard shooting heads, and their casting technique differs somewhat from regular shooting head casting. Watch the video below to see Swedish anglers showcase Vision's new products and discover the secrets of Skagit! These Skagit tips are specifically designed as extensions for the Vision Ace Skagit, but they can also be used as a fast tip on interchangeable shooting heads.

Vision Ace T-Tip family offers three different lengths: 10, 12.5, and 15 feet. Each category features three different weight classes: T10, T14, and T17. All tips are equipped with pre-attached loops (on both ends) to ease your fishing experience. With different lengths and weights of tips, you can control the depth at which your fly swims. Each tip is clearly marked with its length and weight class for easy identification. This product is the shortest, the 10-foot version.

Vision Ace T-Tip lines, like all other Vision products, come with a manufacturer's 1-year warranty.

Skagit Tips; T-Tips, what does it mean?

When assisting customers, it often becomes apparent that many are completely lost when talking about Skagit lines and particularly Skagit tips, or T-Tips. Here is a short informational overview created by Sissos about the tips.

Skagit tips are classified into the so-called T classes. The classes indicate the weight of the line, where the number following the T represents the weight in grains per foot. In other words, T-10 weighs 10 grains per foot, and T-14 weighs 14 grains per foot. Therefore, for example, a 15ft T-17 tip weighs a total of 15*17gr = 255gr or about 16.5 grams.

In addition to different weights, Skagit tips come in various lengths as well. These are always specified in feet, and the most common lengths are 10ft, 12ft, and 15ft. You can shorten the tips yourself later if needed, but factory-made tips always have factory-made loops. The length of the Skagit tips only affects how far down you can sink your fly, allowing it to reach deeper water.

All Skagit tips sink at approximately 8 inches per second, corresponding to the familiar speed of shooting heads like Sink8. Heavier tips are made of the same material but are slightly thicker, enabling you to get your fly deeper in fast currents.

Vision Ace T-Tip

Suitable for dual-handed rods, including fly, running, and bottom lines.

Lines, lines, lines. It feels like this is enough to fuel discussions until the end of the world. Conversations usually include factors related to rods, casts, weather, fish, and of course, the anglers' compatibility with each line. Today’s lines often have little relation to the old AFTM classification, so assessing differences between them can be challenging. Understanding these differences is crucial when evaluating line performance, and we strive to follow the AFTM classification as closely as possible. If a line has been difficult to categorize due to its diverse characteristics and intended uses, we have also added a sticker to the packaging indicating the line's weight with gram precision.
