Fjällräven Abisko Shape 2
The Fjällräven Abisko Shape 2 is a lightweight and robust four-season tunnel tent, designed with a weight-saving low-profile structure and a roomy vestibule. This multifunctional tent offers excellent ventilation, incorporating a new handy feature that allows you to roll up the outer tent at both ends, enhancing airflow and making it adaptable to various weather conditions. Lightweight for year-round hiking, except in extreme conditions. The outer tent is made from Fjällräven's innovative, high-quality TripleRip nylon, which combines two different fabric thicknesses. Areas subject to wear, particularly those close to the ground, are reinforced with a more durable, thicker fabric, while less exposed areas utilize lighter materials. This ensures the tent remains incredibly durable while staying lightweight. The outer and inner tents are attached, keeping the inner tent dry during setup. The pole tunnels are located outside and color-coded for easier assembly, and they are wide enough to accommodate double poles (available as an accessory) for demanding conditions.
Large, high-positioned ventilation openings promote excellent airflow. All openings in the inner tent feature dense mosquito netting to keep smaller, almost invisible insects at bay. The outer tent openings can be fully opened or closed with the outer tent fabric. In warmer weather, the door can be secured in a partially open position for improved ventilation without allowing rain to enter the inner tent. The outer tent’s YKK zipper includes an automatic locking feature, preventing it from being blown open by the wind. Inside the inner tent, there is a fabric door as well as a tightly woven mosquito net door.
The vestibule offers ample space for gear, cooking, or even for a companion dog. The entrance is located on the side of the tent, optimizing the use of space. Inside, the tent is spacious and equipped with a clothesline and mesh pockets for organizing your gear.
Like other Fjällräven tents, the Abisko Shape 2 does not contain PVC plastic and is free from harmful fire retardants. It also features a fluorocarbon-free treatment.
