The Fjällräven Abisko Shape 2 is a lightweight and robust four-season tunnel tent, designed with a weight-saving low-profile model and a generous vestibule. This versatile tent boasts excellent ventilation, including a new convenient feature that allows you to roll up the outer tent at both ends. This improves airflow and makes the tent easy to adapt to various weather conditions. It is perfect for year-round hiking, except in extreme conditions. The outer tent is constructed from Fjällräven's new high-quality TripleRip nylon, which combines two fabric thicknesses to create a versatile structure. Areas most vulnerable to wear, particularly those close to the ground, are reinforced with a heavier, more durable fabric, while less exposed sections use lighter material. This results in an exceptionally durable tent while keeping the overall weight low. The outer and inner tents are attached, ensuring the inner tent stays dry during setup. The pole tunnels are located on the outside, color-coded for easy setup, and are wide enough to accommodate double poles (available as an accessory) for demanding conditions.
Large, high-positioned vents allow for excellent airflow. All openings in the inner tent feature a dense mosquito mesh that keeps smaller, nearly invisible insects out. The outer tent openings can be fully opened or closed with the outer tent fabric. In warm weather, the door can be secured in a partially open position to enhance ventilation without allowing rain to enter the inner tent. The YKK zipper on the outer tent has an automatic locking function, preventing it from being blown open by the wind. In addition to a fabric door, the inner tent features a tightly woven mosquito mesh door.
The vestibule offers ample space for gear, cooking, or even a canine companion. Access is from the side of the tent, making the area very practical. The inner tent is also spacious, featuring a clothesline and mesh pockets for organizing your equipment.
Like other Fjällräven tents, the Abisko Shape 2 contains no PVC plastic and is free from flame-retardant chemicals. It is also treated with a fluorocarbon-free finish.
