The Fjällräven Abisko Shape 3 is a lightweight and robust four-season tunnel tent, designed with a weight-saving low-profile style and an ample vestibule for gear storage. It is an all-purpose tent with superior ventilation, complete with an innovative feature that enables you to roll up the outer tent at both ends. This enhances airflow and allows for easy adaptation to various weather conditions. Ideal for year-round hiking, except in extreme conditions. The outer tent is made from Fjällräven's new high-quality TripleRip nylon, featuring a unique construction that combines two different fabric weights. The areas most exposed to wear, primarily closer to the ground, are reinforced with more durable, thicker fabric, while components subject to less wear utilize lighter weight material. This results in an extremely durable tent while keeping it lightweight. The outer and inner tents are connected to ensure the inner tent stays dry during setup. The pole tunnels are located on the outside and are color-coded for ease of setup. They are wide enough to accommodate double poles (optional accessory) for demanding weather conditions.
Large, high-placed ventilation openings allow for excellent air circulation. All openings in the inner tent come equipped with dense mosquito netting to keep smaller, nearly invisible insects out. The outer tent openings can be fully opened or closed using the outer tent fabric. In warm weather, the door can be secured in a partially open position to improve ventilation without allowing rain to enter the inner tent. The YKK zipper on the outer tent features an automatic locking function, preventing it from being blown open by wind. Moreover, the inner tent includes a fabric door and a tightly woven mosquito net door.
The vestibule offers ample space for gear, cooking, or even a dog traveling with you. Access is from the side of the tent, allowing this area to be utilized very efficiently. The inner tent is spacious as well, equipped with a clothesline and mesh pockets to help organize your gear.
Like other Fjällräven tents, the Abisko Shape 3 is free of PVC and is fire-retardant without toxic treatments. It also features a PFC-free treatment.
