Thanks to its simple yet ingenious design, the backpack distributes weight evenly across both shoulders, effectively preventing discomfort in the back and shoulders. Over the decades, the popularity of the "fox backpack" has only grown.
Forget backpacks that last just a year or two. Kånken is made from durable and lightweight Vinylon F fabric that repels moisture during winter slush and summer downpours. However, it is not completely waterproof or weather-resistant. Despite this, professional photographers trust this backpack so much that they use it to carry photography equipment worth thousands of euros. Kånken places a strong emphasis on the quality of zippers used in the backpack. The zippers are covered with fabric to keep moisture out.
Kånken is easy to fill and empty - the square-shaped backpack features a spacious main compartment with a 16-liter capacity, making it easy to pack and unpack thanks to its large zippered opening. The narrow yet deep side pockets are perfect for storing phones, chargers, small items, water bottles, or an umbrella. There is also a separate zippered pocket on the front.
The backpack includes a PE foam seat cushion that fits into an inner pocket against your back, preventing the contents from pressing against you. At the top are carrying handles, a front reflector logo, and an inner name tag inside the main compartment. The narrow yet thoughtfully designed shoulder straps distribute weight evenly across the shoulders. The shoulder straps are easy to adjust for a perfect fit.

Whatever you decide to do, don’t put the Kånken in the washing machine. Instead, clean any dirty spots with lukewarm water, mild detergent, and a soft brush or sponge. The Kånken should be dried by hanging it in a well-ventilated area, sheltered from direct sunlight. Also, do not leave the Kånken in direct sunlight as the color may fade. The Kånken prefers shade or less intense sunlight. Highly saturated colors may bleed slightly when wet.
