- A Back-Friendly School Backpack
Kånken was initially introduced to solve back problems among schoolchildren. Thanks to its simple yet ingenious design, the backpack distributes weight evenly across both shoulders, effectively preventing discomfort in the back and shoulders. Over the decades, the popularity of this iconic "fox backpack" has only grown, showing no signs of slowing down.
Forget backpacks that barely last a year or two. The Kånken is made from wear-resistant and lightweight Vinylon F fabric that repels moisture during winter slush and summer downpours. However, keep in mind that it is not entirely waterproof or submersible. Yet, even professional photographers trust this backpack enough to carry thousands of euros worth of camera equipment in it. Kånken places a strong emphasis on the quality of the zippers used in the backpack, which are covered by fabric for added durability.
Kånken is easy to fill and empty - the square-shaped backpack features a spacious main compartment of 16 liters that is easily packed and unpacked thanks to its large zippered opening. The narrow but deep side pockets are perfect for storing a phone, charger, small items, or even a water bottle and umbrella. There’s also a separate zipped pocket at the front.
The backpack comes with a PE foam pad that is kept in the internal pocket against the back, preventing the contents from pressing against your back. At the top, you'll find carrying handles, a reflective logo on the front, and a name tag inside the main compartment. Thanks to the narrow yet thoughtfully designed shoulder straps, the backpack distributes weight evenly across the shoulders. The shoulder straps can be easily adjusted to fit the user comfortably.
There are countless uses for the Kånken backpack! Whether you're hiking through the wilderness, cycling rugged terrain, camping outdoors, hanging out with friends, or using Kånken as your school or work backpack, it fits all occasions.

Note! Water and dry cleaning are prohibited when caring for Kånken backpacks. Whatever you do, do not put the Kånken in the washing machine. Instead, clean dirty spots with lukewarm water, mild detergent, and a soft brush or sponge. It's best to dry the Kånken by hanging it in a well-ventilated area, protecting it from direct sunlight. Also, do not leave the Kånken in direct sunlight, as this can cause fading. Kånken prefers shade or less intense sunlight. Strongly colored materials may bleed slightly when wet.
