High-quality stainless steel
The knife is made from popular 440C stainless steel, hardened to a Rockwell hardness of 57–59 HRC. The high carbon content gives the steel excellent wear resistance, long-lasting sharpness, and easy sharpening – characteristics that are especially important for a hunting knife. The blade is coated with titanium for added corrosion protection and to create a stylish contrast with the wooden handle scales.
The Walther BNK 6 features a full tang design, meaning the blade and handle are crafted from a single piece of steel. Such knives are known for their exceptional durability and strength, making them well-suited for heavy use – perfect for survival skill training, bushcraft enthusiasts, military personnel, and hunters.
This knife has a 4 mm thick blade with a practical drop point profile, flat grind, and a distinctly curved cutting edge. This combination ensures smooth cutting, good penetration, as well as the blade's durability and versatility. The spine of the blade features cross milling (known as a thumb ramp), providing a solid resting support for the thumb during precise work.
The knife has composite handle scales made from black Pakkawood, securely attached to the handle with two screws. Pakkawood is a durable laminate wood material, infused with heat-treated phenolic resins – combining the appearance of wood with the durability of synthetic materials. The contoured handle with finger grooves guarantees a firm grip and comfortable use. A lanyard hole at the end of the handle allows for attaching a safety lanyard or decorative cord.
The knife comes with a traditional leather sheath that allows for safe carrying on your belt.
