Butler Creek “Flip-Open” lens covers have been a favorite among shooters for over 20 years. The Butler Creek lens covers feature a silent “Quiet Open” mechanism which allows them to open quickly and quietly. These lens covers also provide water resistance for your optics. Butler Creek lens covers are durable in extreme conditions (operating temperature -40 to +120 degrees Celsius). They are also suitable for left-handed shooters. Refer to the accompanying table for the correct size.
Objective (obj) refers to the front lens
Ocular (okul) refers to the rear lens
In some instances, Butler Creek may not have a sufficiently large lens cover for the rear lens, but you can effectively use an ocular cover for the front lens as well. The front and rear covers can be distinguished by the presence of a button that opens the rear cover, in addition to the size options available.
Measurement instructions:
Measure the external diameter of the binoculars with calipers or as accurately as possible with a ruler. The lens covers stretch reasonably by about 0.5mm, so choose the correct size as precisely as possible. If you are uncertain between two sizes, opt for the larger one. A larger cover can always be made smaller by placing a piece of electrical tape on the inside of the cover.
