Butler Creek “Flip-Open” lens covers have been a favorite among shooters for over 20 years. The Butler Creek lens covers feature a silent “Quiet Open” function that allows the covers to open quickly and discreetly. These lens covers also protect your scope from water damage. Butler Creek lens covers are designed to withstand extreme conditions (operating temperature range of -40 to +120 degrees Fahrenheit). They are also suitable for left-handed shooters. Please refer to the chart below for the correct size.
Objective (obj) refers to the front lens
Ocular (okul) refers to the rear lens
In some cases, Butler Creek may not provide a sufficiently large lens cover intended for the rear lens, but you can effectively use the ocular cover for the front lens as well. The only distinguishing feature between the front and rear covers, aside from the size selection, is the release button that opens the rear cover.
Measurement Instructions:
Measure the outer diameter of your scope with a caliper or as accurately as possible with a ruler. The lens covers stretch reasonably by about 0.5mm, so select the correct size as carefully as possible. If you're uncertain between two sizes, opt for the larger one. A larger cover can always be adjusted by placing a piece of electrical tape on the inside of the cover.
