With portable devices, targets can be seen accurately and found easily even in the most demanding conditions. The Hikmicro TH35C can be used as a handheld thermal monocular or as a clip-on accessory attached to a riflescope. It can be mounted to the weapon with a separately purchased adapter.
The device attaches to the objective lens of the rifle scope. The suitable adapter is chosen based on the external diameter of the scope’s objective lens. When the device is in clip-on use, it utilizes the reticle of the rifle scope, meaning the zeroing usually does not change in practice. (Zeroing must still be verified. Any adjustments are made to the thermal camera, and there is no need to alter the rifle scope adjustment. The scope can be zeroed to, for example, a chemical hand warmer or a can filled with warm water.) With the eyepiece cap in place, the device can also be used as a thermal monocular. This function is particularly useful for tracking wounded game or in any situation where observing thermal differences is advantageous. The power-saving mode available in the device is easily activated. The device takes a few seconds to start up normally, but with a quick press of the on/off button, it can wake immediately from power-saving mode. When the thermal camera is connected to a mobile phone, you can activate the standby mode from the thermal camera. You can still see on your phone screen if there is any movement, and if needed, with a button press, the thermal sight is ready for use. When connected to a mobile phone, it is also easy to take photos or videos that are saved directly to the phone. The thermal camera comes with its own battery. Charging can be done either with the battery in place or removed separately.
