With portable devices, targets can be seen clearly and easily identified even in the most demanding conditions. The Hikmicro TH35C can be used as a handheld thermal monocular or as a clip-on accessory attached to a riflescope. It attaches to your firearm with an adapter sold separately.
The device is mounted onto the objective lens of the riflescope. The appropriate adapter is chosen according to the external diameter of the riflescope objective lens. When in clip-on use, the riflescope's own reticle is utilized, allowing for minimal changes in zeroing (although zeroing should still be verified, any adjustments would be made to the thermal camera, and there is no need to alter the riflescope's settings. The sight can easily be zeroed in on thermally reactive objects like chemical hand warmers or cans filled with warm water.) With the eyecup in place, the device can also function as a thermal monocular, making it extremely useful for tracking down wounded game or any situation where observing temperature differences is beneficial.
The device features a power-saving mode, which is easily activated. It typically takes a few seconds for the device to start normally, but by quickly pressing the on/off button, the device wakes up from its power-saving state instantly. Once the thermal camera is connected to a smartphone, you can also enable the standby mode directly from the thermal camera. You can still view any movement through your phone's screen, and if necessary, the thermal sight can be ready for use at the press of a button. When connected to a smartphone, it's also easy to take pictures or videos that will save directly to your phone. The thermal camera includes its own battery, which can be charged either while in place or separately.
