With portable devices, targets can be seen accurately and located easily in even the most challenging conditions. The Hikmicro TQ50C can be used as a handheld thermal monocular or as a clip-on accessory attached to a riflescope. It attaches to the firearm using a separately purchased adapter.
The device is mounted on the objective lens of the riflescope. The appropriate adapter is chosen based on the outer diameter of the scope's objective lens. When using the device in clip-on mode, the rifle scope's own reticle is utilized, ensuring that aiming remains generally unaffected in practice. (However, the aim must still be verified. Any necessary adjustments will be made to the thermal camera, and there’s no need to alter the riflescope’s settings. The scope is easily adjusted, for example, to a chemical hand warmer or a canister filled with warm water). When the ocular lens is in place, it can also function as a thermal monocular. This makes it extremely useful for tracking wounded game or in any situation where identifying temperature differences is advantageous. The energy-saving standby mode is conveniently operated. The device takes a few seconds to start up normally, but by quickly pressing the on/off button, it is instantly activated from standby mode. When the thermal camera is connected to a mobile phone, you can activate standby mode directly from the thermal camera. You can still monitor movements on the phone screen, and if needed, with a press of a button, the thermal scope is ready for use. Connected to a mobile phone, it is also easy to take pictures or videos that are stored directly on the device.
The thermal camera includes its own rechargeable battery. Charging can be done either while the battery is in place or removed separately.
