Enhanced Gen2 Design Compared to Gen1
The Gen2 model features a shortened 381 mm (15") forend. This shorter design is excellent for shorter barrels while still supporting barrels of 432 mm (17") and longer. The chassis is constructed from extremely durable 6061 aluminum, ensuring exceptional rigidity. The chassis utilizes a V-block bedding system, which ensures a secure and repeatable fit of the receiver to the chassis and minimizes movement during firing—this is essential for achieving maximum accuracy.
Stable Platform for Demanding Shooting
The Gen2 forend is not only shorter but also wider, flatter, and thicker than the Gen1. This makes it an extremely stable platform, for example, when shooting from a barricade. An integrated high barricade stop adds stability while also protecting the magazine. The M-LOK attachment points on the underside and sides of the forend allow for the attachment of additional weights to improve stability. Additionally, items such as bipods or tripods can be attached to these points. The top of the forend features attachment holes for accessories like a rail or mirage shield, which enhance attachment possibilities and reduce the impact of barrel heat distortion on the sight picture.
Practical Details
The design in front of the magazine well facilitates easy use of the magazine release. Additionally, the chassis features an ambidextrous magazine release that accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters.
MDT SRS-X Lite Stock
The chassis includes the MDT SRS-X Lite stock, which is pleasantly lightweight. The pull length can be adjusted with spacers. The adjustable comb ensures a consistent sight line to the scope. Furthermore, the lower part of the stock includes an M-LOK attachment point for additional weights or other gear.
MDT Vertical Grip – Premier
The MDT Vertical Grip – Premier enhances the setup. It provides an ergonomic and natural hand position in relation to the trigger, improving shooting stance and stability—which directly affects accuracy. To ensure a perfect fit, the side panels of the grip can be adjusted forwards and backwards, and the angle of the grip can also be altered.
Easy Installation
The chassis is designed for drop-in installation and does not require gunsmithing. It is secured with two action screws, allowing for a quick and straightforward upgrade.
