The MDT Field Stock – Tikka T3/T3x SA – Black features a robust aluminum chassis that ensures exceptional rigidity. The aluminum frame is coated with a polymer finish, providing a comfortable and warm feel even in cold conditions. Its traditional design makes it ergonomic, aiding shooters in achieving a stable shooting position. Additionally, the structure boasts several thoughtful features beneficial for both hunting and competitive shooting.
First, the lock and receiver securely attach to the stock through a sturdy aluminum V-block bedding. This bedding is machined with high precision to minimize tolerances and movement during firing. Another important feature is the free-floating barrel, meaning that the forend and other parts do not contact the barrel. These characteristics enhance the consistency of the firearm's performance and help maximize accuracy. Furthermore, the platform is compatible with AICS magazines designed to ensure reliable and smooth feeding of cartridges.
The adjustability of the stock suits nearly all shooters. The height of the cheekrest can be easily adjusted without tools using the adjustment knob located underneath, allowing for an optimal shooting position with various types of optics. Additionally, the lock can be detached from the firearm when the cheekrest is set to its lowest position. The length of pull (LOP) can also be adjusted with included spacer pieces.
The stock offers versatile options for attaching accessories. The M-LOK slots located on the sides and bottom of the forend allow for attachments like bipods and other accessories. Moreover, sling attachment points are suitable for securing a rifle sling, but other compatible accessories can also be utilized.
Attaching the firearm to the stock is straightforward. Thanks to the simple installation method, you can quickly update your firearm without needing to visit a gunsmith.
