Due to its short eye relief, this device is recommended for use with .308 Win and smaller calibers. It is primarily designed for scopes with parallax adjustment, though it can also be used effectively with fixed parallax scopes.

The same device is available in 850nm and 940nm IR light wavelengths. The practical difference between the models is that the 850nm light has a slightly better range, but the 940nm is more difficult for animals to detect. Typically, the 850nm is the right choice for deer or fox hunting, while the 940nm devices are commonly used for more cautious wild boars.
