Forward-acting trigger mechanism Sako S20 rifle

The forward-acting trigger mechanism operates similarly to a standard rear-acting trigger mechanism, but with a minor empty pull that is removed by squeezing the trigger until a distinct threshold is reached, after which the firearm discharges. The trigger pull resistance of this mechanism is adjustable to approximately 1 - 2 kg. This mechanism is particularly beneficial for long-distance target shooting or cluster shooting due to its excellent trigger feel.

The mechanism includes a two-position safety switch.
You can also purchase the Sako S20 rifle with a pre-installed forward-acting trigger mechanism, making the firearm €100 more expensive (price as of July 12, 2023). The delivery time for factory orders is 5-7 months.

The forward-acting trigger mechanism is not sold separately; it must always be installed by a Sako-authorized and trained gunsmith. Our staff includes a Sako-authorized gunsmith who can replace the mechanism on-site.

Note! When installing on a new firearm, the labor cost is included in the trigger mechanism's price. However, if you want the mechanism installed on an existing rifle, an additional hourly labor charge of approximately one hour will apply. The forward-acting trigger mechanism replaces the original trigger mechanism, and the standard mechanism is not included in the delivery.
