Simms BugStopper products are designed to protect against pesky insect bites. The InsectShield® technology features an insect-repellent treatment using Permethrin, commonly utilized by military personnel and hunters, which is highly effective against mosquitoes, flies, and many other irritating pests, including ticks, lasting up to 70 washes. This makes it an excellent product line for anglers, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts in both cold and tropical climates.

Insect Shield insect protection treatment

This garment is treated using the Insect Shield method, which provides protection against insects. The active ingredient is permethrin. When permethrin is applied to fabric using the Insect Shield method, it bonds to the fabric and does not wash out. Insect Shield or any other insect protection product cannot guarantee complete protection against insect bites.

NOTE: Do not dry clean, as this may remove the active ingredient. Do not treat again with other permethrin-based products. Do not use for purposes other than those intended. Permethrin may cause skin sensitization.
